New H-class CCGT tecnologies

High-efficiency technology to support the energy transition

New natural gas-fired combined-cycle power plants (CCGT) are among the most efficient technologies currently available for generating reliable and flexible electricity.

New-generation H-class units enable high levels of energy efficiency and a significant reduction in specific CO₂ emissions compared to traditional thermal power plants. Thanks to their rapid startup and modulation capabilities, these power plants also play a key role in ensuring the stability and security of the power grid, supporting the growing integration of non-dispatchable renewable energy sources.

TTEP Italia is investing in the development of high-efficiency CCGT plants to contribute to the country’s energy transition through technologically advanced, reliable solutions that are compatible with decarbonization goals.

This context includes:

  • The new 800-MW unit in Tavazzano and Montanaso, which is already operational;
  • the 880-MW Ostiglia project, currently under construction.
