Battery energy storage systems (BESS) are a strategic technology for the energy transition and for integrating renewable energy sources into the power grid.

By storing energy during periods of peak production and making it available when needed, BESS systems contribute to grid stability, enhance the flexibility of the energy system, and support the continuity of the power supply.

TTEP Italia is developing energy storage projects at several strategic sites with a total storage capacity of 540 MWh, with the aim of contributing to the stability of the national power grid and accelerating the transition to a low-carbon economy.
